Hello Welcome to our web site we are Dai
and Helen Hall and we live near Swansea South Wales UK.
After keeping dogs all our lives we were given our
first Bull Terrier in 1989. She was a 4 yr old bitch by Ch Stamford Blue
of Lenster, unfortunately while she loved our 4 young children she hated
our other 2 dogs , after much heartache we found her a more suitable
home, but the Bull Terrier bug had bitten and in 1990 we bought a bitch
puppy from M Jones ( Clairmars) .
We started showing her locally but soon found her a reluctant show girl.
In 1992 we bred our first litter then came a devastating body blow our
17yr old daughter Becky died from Cystic Fibrosis.
For 3 yrs we were inactive but still interested ,then we bought a
brindle bitch of Manzanita & Tyebar breeding and began showing her this
gave our life a new focus then Cwmdulais Angharaq 1RCC (Lucy) by Ch
Kilacabar Rolling Thunder arrived from Phil Akin and our foundation was
formed , all our present animals are descended from her .
While top show honors have so far eluded us ,when mated to Ch Flashpoint
Inferno of Kilacabar she produced Cwmdulais Flash Harry whose rather
laid back attitude to life made him a poor show dog but as a stud dog he
certainly made his mark winning the Monkery Stud Dog Trophy 2003 ,
producing many lovely animals including the 2003 Trophy winning bitch Ch
Tulsadoom Silver Sarissa. Then age 5 yrs at
the peak of his powers Harry died from peritonitis after an operation to
remove a bone from his gullet. His loss hit us badly but we have been
comforted and encouraged by the good wishes of BT people from all
over the world , by seeing his children and grand children appearing
in the ring and seeing his wonderful temperament shining through in the
puppies that have gone on to be much loved pets .
We had previously mated
Cwmdulais Angharaq (Harry’s dam) to Ch Marshelsea Ice and a Slice a
bitch from the litter had gone back to Brian and Cathy Mills at
Marshelsea, Cwmdulais Crystal Clear who was then mated to Flash Harry we
had taken a dog out of the litter Marshelsea Merve the Swerve but his
mouth had gone undershot. We had no other Harry offspring , things were
at a low ebb, then came a phone call that turned things around it was
Brian Mills he had kept the other dog in the litter and he had a
perfect mouth he simply said “Bryn is here come and get him” the
following day we collected Cwmdulais Marshelsea Dai Another Day and all
of a sudden that one act of kindness revitalised us. We realised there
were other Harry litters.
We obtained pups from Terry & Jo Hylands , Tracey & Mike Fletcher
,Susan Williams and Anne Marsh .None of these pups made it into the show
ring but we have got 3 lovely Harry daughters to carry on his line.
Bryn’s first mating was to Cwmdulais Molly Malone a daughter of Ch
Alecto Kool Baracuda of Kilacabar and Cwmdulais Precious Gem (Harry’s
sister) 8 pups were born . Susan Williams of Gwynsel Bull terriers
wanted a bitch to show ,we knew that she would give her a great home and
would show her everywhere.We narrowed the selection down to 2 all white
bitches and she eventually took our advice and she took Cwmdulais Love
Me Tonight named by Susan after a Tom Jones song .She had promised to
show her and show her she did and on the 12th November 2005
she was crowned Champion Cwmdulais Love Me tonight at Gwynsel (age 13
months) A first champion for Cwmdulais and Gwynsel a big thank you must
go to Susan for all her hard work . We would also like to thank the
breeders that let us have pups to enable us to carry on and we can
never thank Brian and Kathy enough for making that phone call.
